Born in the 14th-century city of Einbeck, Bock is a strong German lager (Starkbier) with a history as rich as its flavor. When the style was adopted by brewers in Munich, the thick Bavarian accent turned "Einbeck" into "ein Bock," meaning "billy goat"—a playful nickname that stuck and is still honored by the goat symbol on Bock labels today. Our Bock celebrates this heritage with a deeply malty body full of toasty and caramel notes, all balanced by a remarkably smooth, clean finish. It's proof that a strong bier can be exceptionally drinkable, making it the perfect comfort bier for any gathering. Prost!

Bock came from Einbeck in the north, and the name came from a Bavarian accent — Einbeck slurred into "ein Bock," the billy goat. Strong, malty, built for cold weather. The goat stuck. So did we.
